Day 15 - the day of the Nashville monsoon.

27th July 2013
We arrived in Nashvillle, Tennessee at 9am this morning after no sleep. We had to just abandon our bags in the hallway of the apartment we were staying in (we couldn't check in yet) and head to downtown. We passed some funny things on the way.
A drive-thru pharmacy! Cos who has time really?!
First stop was the Ryman Auditorium which was amazing. We did the backstage tour of all the dressing rooms, but photos weren't allowed on that part.
Then a spot of lunch at Margaritaville (and a cocktail obviously).
Then off to the Country Music Hall of Fame. Lauren watched Taylor Swift home videos for a few hours in a corner of the museum whilst I explored. I think maybe she enjoyed it more than me! Here are lots of pictures that will probably go over everyone's heads.

There was a Carrier Underwood exhibit with costumes from her last tour. Some of them were amazing!
There was also a Nashville TV show exhibit (wish mum was there).
And of course Swifty
We went back to check in to our apartment - it was gorgeous.
We got ready to go back out for dinner and lots of music. The walk started out lovely - it was so warm, but then out of nowhere:
We were soaked through to our pants and our feet were soaking. Because of the rain all the bars were packed and you had to swim to get to the next one. So we decided to go back to Margaritaville. We loved it! Cocktails and country music - my faves.
We had such a giggle but couldn't stay out too late as we had to be up so early in the morning. Alarms set for 4.30 for the trip to Memphis tomorrow - looks like we're getting no good night sleep any time soon :( so excited though!
Lots of love xxxxx
