Day 9 - the day I wasn't quite 21

This bed is the comfiest ever! Even Lauren didn't want to get out! We have become addicted to watching RuPaul's Drag Race (hysterical) so stayed in watching that for a while. Then off into the city. We took the subway down to the 9/11 memorial.

Lots had changed since we had last been to Ground Zero. 1WTC is up and there are now two beautiful memorial pools. They are waterfalls that stand in the footprints of the towers. All the names of those lost are engraved around the outside. There is also the survivor tree which survived the events. It is such a moving experience to be there.
We had a cheeky lunch before strolling down to Battery Park and then across to the Brooklyn Bridge. We had cake pops as a treat (like we needed one!) and I had a birthday one - cos it's ma bday tomorrow!
Next we walked over the Brooklyn Bridge, the views were amazing.
We strolled through Cadman Plaza park once in Brooklyn, then took the subway back to Manhattan. Back in the hotel we had been left a weather card and choccies - how lovely.
Rain on my birthday - typical. We watched a bit more RuPaul (ha). We had takeout and wanted to order cocktails for my birthday at midnight but the bar shut t 11 :(:(:( so bed it was.
And now it's my birthday. Not sure how I feel about that but I may as well celebrate! Lots of love xxxxx
