Today we travelled from Philly to NYC. We checked in early to NYC and wow. The Distrikt Hotel is amazing!! They let us check in 2 hours early to our Grand View room 30 floors up. The staff were so funny. Because I had tweeted the hotel they gave us a $20 off voucher for cocktails or breakfast (I think we'll go for cocktails). The room is gorgeous with such amazing views. We were also greeted with brownies and chocolates in the room - yummmm.
Lauren particularly enjoyed the complimentary robes.
We headed out for some lunch in Hell's Kitchen :)
We paid Times Square a visit and had fun in Toys-R-Us. So proud of us for avoiding all the candy.
Next we headed back to the hotel for showers and a chill. There was a knock at the door and we were a bit confused. I answered and was presented with a card and a cloche. It was a happy birthday wish from the hotel, and even better, CAKE! Unfortunately we didn't get any spoons so we had to cut it with a straw and then faceplant it ha.
We finally managed to find some dinner at 11.30 - I was starving. We're hating how all the menus show how many calories are in each meal. I don't want to just eat salad!! The walk home was lovely. We love NYC
