Day 23 - the day we went on safari

4th August 2013

Today we caught the shuttle to Animal Kingdom. Woop woop.

We did pretty much everything on the map and had lots of fun, but our favourite things were definitely the shows.

First up we saw Festival of the Lion King which was amazing. We were more excited than the little ones in there. First of all, a group of 4 singers came out, then floats each with an animal came out, then the dancers. The costumes were incredible. 

They (we) sung the favourites - Circle of Life; Hakuna Matata was done by Timone (Pumba was stuck on a float) and some acrobats dressed as monkeys, which was impressive

 Be Prepared was done with a fore thrower 

then Can You Feel the Love Tonight was done as a duet by two of the singers as well as a pas de deux with the girl being on a wire. Gorgeous.

They reprised and remixed every song for the finale which was just fab. I had mega goosebumps.

We also went on a Kilamanjaro Safari, which would have been great even without the animals as our driver, Josh, was rather lovely ;) and we were front row ha. But we did take our eyes off him to admire the animals occasionally.

Another fave of ours was Finding Nemo the musical which was really clever. 

We went home then went to Copper Canyon for some gorgeous cocktails and salad. Then, of course, bed.
